The ARC- Vegetable, Industrial and Medicinal Plants (ARC-VIMP) seeks to appoint a highly skilled, experienced, and dynamic person to the following position at Roodeplaat, Pretoria.

Job Description

  • Deliver administrative support to the OHS Officer.
  • Oversee office operations by creating, monitoring, and implementing processes to ensure timely and effective handling of the division’s business, including instructions, correspondence and appointments.
  • Procurement of goods and services for OHS.
  • Establish and manage proper record-keeping systems, including filing, retrieval, retention, storage, and destruction.
  • Provide administrative support needed for the online submission of occupational injuries and diseases claims, campus safety files and OHS technical report
  • Organize OHS related trainings.
  • Attend and participate in any OHS/facility meeting as need may be.
  • Assist in collecting OHS stats for monthly reporting.
  • Partake in OHS investigations.

Job Requirements

  • A National Diploma in Occupational/Environmental Health Sciences.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of administrative processes.
  • Good interpersonal relation.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • High degree of integrity and tact to handle sensitive and classified information.
  • A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage
