About the Role
As the People Specialist: Skills Development, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the implementation and management of our Learnership Programmes and Bursary Management initiatives. Additionally, you’ll ensure compliance with Skills Development legislation while maximising grants and learnership funding. You will play a pivotal role in creating a culture of learning, growth, and compliance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage Learnership Programmes:
- Oversee the full Learnership value chain, from recruitment and SETA (Sector Education and Training Authority) administration to training, assessments, moderation, and governance.
- Ensure quality assurance and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
2. SETA Liaison:
- Serve as the main contact for SETA to facilitate smooth communication and funding processes.
- Handle all SETA-related documentation and ensure accurate reporting.
3. Financial Oversight:
- Manage payroll allocations, invoicing, and expenses related to Learnerships.
- Ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining transparency and accountability.
4. Grant Management:
- Maximise funding opportunities by submitting and managing SETA grant claims effectively.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including learners, trainers, and SETA representatives.
- Provide regular updates and feedback on programme progress and outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in Learning and Development, specifically within the SETA and Learnership landscape.
- Proven expertise in managing learnership and qualification-related programmes.
- Education:
- A relevant qualification in OD-ETDP (Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development Practices) or SDF (Skills Development Facilitator).
- Additional certifications, such as Assessor/Moderator qualifications, are advantageous.
- Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of Skills Development legislation and regulations.
