Purpose of the Position

The Training Officer will be responsible for presenting, facilitating, and assessing training interventions within their allocated area of responsibility. The role ensures that all training activities comply with industry best practices, quality assurance standards, and applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Licensing

  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification
  • Valid Driver’s Licence (EB)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications

Accreditation & Registrations

  • PSIRA Grades E–A Instructor accreditation
  • Registered Facilitator with ETDP SETA
  • Registered Assessor with ETDP SETA and SASSETA
  • Registered Moderator with ETDP SETA and SASSETA (advantageous)
  • Accreditation to facilitate and assess Skills Programmes 1, 2, and 3 (compulsory)

Security Qualifications

  • General Security Practices (GSO) – NQF Level 3
  • Specialist Security Practices Qualification – NQF Level 4 (advantageous)

Key Performance Areas (Including but not Limited to)

  • Present, facilitate, and assess training interventions in line with internal standards, QMS requirements, and industry best practices
  • Coach and mentor learners on learnership programmes to ensure competence in line with learning outcomes and unit standards
  • Ensure strict compliance with approved curricula, learning programmes, and assessment methodologies
  • Adhere to all relevant legislative and quality assurance frameworks, including SASSETA, PSIRA, DoL, QCTO, and related bodies
