Available Fields (Choose One Stream Only)
Applicants must apply for one stream only based on their interests and experience.
1. Performing and Visual Arts Stream
This stream is suitable for individuals with an interest or background in creative and cultural arts, including:
- Theatre and Drama
- Music and Singing
- Dance
- Poetry and Spoken Word
- Visual Arts
- Sewing and Fashion
- Craftwork and Handicrafts
2. General Worker Stream
Applicants in this stream may assist with:
- Cleaning and upkeep of facilities
- Venue setup and preparation
- Basic maintenance support
- Event setup and breakdown
- General assistance within the arts centre
3. Early Childhood Developer (ECD) Stream
This stream supports early childhood learning and development. Duties may include:
- Assisting with learning activities for children aged 3–5
- Supporting creative play and arts-based learning
- Preparing classrooms and learning materials
- Assisting with child development and care activities
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the EPWP Arts and Culture Fieldworkers Programme 2026, applicants must have:
- Matric / Senior Certificate
- Relevant experience related to the chosen stream
Relevant experience may include (formal or informal):
- Participation in community theatre or drama groups
- Church choirs, dance teams, or cultural groups
- Sewing, beadwork, or craft projects
- Volunteering at Early Childhood Development centres
- Youth development or community programmes
- Cultural or community event participation
Note: Informal and community-based experience is acceptable and encouraged.
