Heritage and Cultural Development Opportunities
The cultural sector features prominently in the offering, with three positions available in Heritage Promotion and Preservation, three in National Archives and Film Archives, and three additional positions in Cultural Development. The National Language Services department is also seeking three interns, reflecting the department’s commitment to South Africa’s linguistic diversity.

The Active and Winning Nation program offers the largest single allocation with six internship positions, focusing on sports development initiatives. The Infrastructure department complements this with three positions supporting the development of sports and cultural facilities.

Administrative divisions are well represented in the program. Financial management areas include one position each in Financial Administration/Management and Supply Chain Management, with two positions available in Risk Management. The Human Resource Management and Internal Audit departments are each offering single positions.
The legal and compliance sector has one opening in Legal Services, while strategic functions include one position in Strategic Management and Planning, and another in Entity, Oversight, and Interface.
Specialized Roles
Technology and communications sectors feature with one position in Information and Communication Technology and another in Communications and Marketing. International cooperation receives emphasis with three positions in International Cooperation and Donor Coordination.
The Social Cohesion and Nation Building program offers two positions, while Security and Work Environment has one opening.
Application Process
Interested candidates must register on the DSAC eRecruitment portal and complete a Z83 form along with their skills and competencies profile before applying. The system requires explicit consent under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), and applicants must provide identification details, contact information, and employment status.
