Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Grade C Armed Security Officer to join our security team at a National Key Point. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facility, personnel and assets.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric certificate
- PSIRA Grade C registration and accreditation
- At least 2 years’ experience in armed security, preferable in a high-security environment
- SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate (Handgun, Shotgun & Rifle for business purpose)
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to undergo regular polygraph tests
Key Performance Areas: (not totally inclusive):
- Ensuring that contractual requirements are met as stipulated by the Client.
- Maintaining good relations between Fidelity Security Services Group and the Client with regard to security services rendered.
- Monitor and control access points to the facility
- Respond promptly to alarms and security incidents
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents and daily activities
- Ensure compliance with all security protocols and procedures
