SALARY

  • Scale: R159 936 – R186 936 per annum
  • Estimated Total Package: R236 535 – R270 901 per annum

JOB PURPOSE

To perform various cleaning and general maintenance duties to ensure clean, safe, and healthy conditions at transport facilities and premises.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic literacy
  • Ability to perform general worker duties
  • Physically fit and in good health
  • Ability to stand for long periods and walk long distances
  • Relevant cleaning experience will be an added advantage
  • Must undergo a criminal record check and fingerprinting (at own cost)

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Good communication skills
  • Responsible and reliable
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Willingness to change duties when instructed

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily cleaning and upkeep of transport facilities
  • Sweeping and litter collection
  • Grass cutting and de-weeding
  • Cleaning of buildings and ablution facilities
  • Emptying bins and removing illegal dumping
  • Cleaning flowerbeds and surrounding areas
  • Loading and unloading materials
  • Handling small equipment and machinery
